Workforce Alliance Schedules Virtual Job Fair

Innovative web site allows job seekers 24/7 access to job opportunities

West Palm Beach, Florida – (December 18, 2007) –  Workforce Alliance, the employer-to-job seeker connection for Palm Beach County, Florida will hold a Virtual Job Fair starting on February 16, 2008 and running day and night through February 29, 2008 at the website, http://www.alliancevirtualjobfair.com/

Kathryn Schmidt, President and Chief Executive Officer of Workforce Alliance, said, “This is a fairly new concept, and with 24-hour access, it will be much easier to attend for those job seekers who have classes or daytime jobs during the typical 9 to 5 hours of a traditional Job Fair in a hotel or a public auditorium.  Job seekers can register and submit a resume on line and their information will go straight to the right contact person at the hiring organizations.”

Additional Palm Beach County employers can sign up to recruit employee candidates during the two week Virtual Job Fair by visiting the website, http://www.alliancevirtualjobfair.com/, or by calling a Business Services Consultant at Workforce Alliance, (561) 340-1060 ext. 302.   Workforce Alliance expects the Virtual Job Fair to attract job seekers from across the State of Florida, and many from out-of-state.

On-line attendees will be able to review a wide variety of job listings from participating companies and submit resumes with the help of a resume formatting tool.  They may remain anonymous if desired.  There is no cost to the job seekers and the positions being advertised will range from entry level to management positions in varying fields.

Workforce Alliance is a not-for-profit organization chartered by the State of Florida to operate workforce development programs in Palm Beach County that respond to the needs of both businesses and job seekers in its role as the leading human resource solution driving economic growth in Palm Beach County.  Additional information is available through the above telephone number or at Workforce Alliance website, http://www.pbcalliance.com/.
